Chemical peels can offer a variety of results for a variety of skin conditions. What to Expect

At AFYA Skin and Body Clinic in Waterloo & Guelph we offer an individual assessment of your personal goals before selecting a chemical peel that is right for you and your concerns. Peels generally take 30 to 60 minutes and results will be seen within 7 days. Series of 3 to 6 treatments is best for most skin conditions. Light grade chemical peels are best for most clients, as they offer superior results with no downtime. With light grade peels, you will notice changes in the skin day by day as the old skin sloughs off and your body starts to repair the skin for a smoother texture and a more even skin tone. For medium depth peels, you may experience redness for 24 hours and have flaking skin for 3 to 5 days post peel. These treatments are best done in a series of 3.

When to Book

Treatments can be performed 2 to 4 weeks apart depending on depth of the peel and your skin’s tolerance.
