Sleep on Your Back
It’s recommended to avoid lying down for a few hours after the injections. Most people are more than fine to go to sleep at night that day, but it’s still best to avoid sleeping on your side or stomach. Sleeping on your back in preferable as it prevents the wrinkle injections from moving. This will allow the wrinkle injections to settle into the muscles without moving it.
Avoid Exercise
Exercising is great, but try to hit the gym before your wrinkle injections appointment and not after. Some activities are okay after getting injections however it’s best to avoid anything too vigorous the day after treatment. The goal is to keep the wrinkle injections in place.
Don’t Rub Your Face
Most clients come to us wanting wrinkle injections to treat a few “problem areas”. Avoid rubbing or applying significant pressure to your face for roughly 24 hours after treatment. Otherwise, you run the risk of moving the wrinkle injections to unintended areas and undoing the work in the targeted spots. Too much touching can result in undesired results.
Skip Painkillers and Alcohol
Wrinkle injection is a non-invasive treatment with minimal side effects. However, it’s not uncommon to feel sore and bruised in the treated areas afterward. Avoid taking any blood-thinning and anti-inflammatory painkillers to treat this though. It’s also recommended to skip drinking alcohol for the day after treatment due to its blood-thinning properties.
Be Patient
Injections provide almost immediate results, but the full results will take a few days to appear so be patient! In the days after your wrinkle injections, you’ll notice them settling in. Bruising will disappear as well, allowing you to see the final results. The great news it hat wrinkle injections last around 4-6 months!
